Our client is searching for a Project Engineer to join their team in Bryanston.

JOB PURPOSE: 

The incumbent will be responsible for project engineering tasks on mine ventilation and refrigeration design-build projects across all phases of the projects.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Planning and design integration across all disciplines

• Equipment specification

• Cost estimation and tendering

• Vendor selection and procurement

• Site inspections and contractor engineering support

• Commissioning of equipment, handover to client

• Project management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

• BSc/BEng Mechanical Engineering

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

4 – 6 years’ experience within a mining/industrial/consulting engineering environment on design and construction projects, including experience in:

• HVAC/thermal engineering

• Mechanical engineering

• Project Management

• Standard forms of contract (FIDIC/NEC/GCC)

• Working knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act

• People and business management
